At Winona State, Kryzko Commons area, From this wednesday until tomorrow,” The Freedom Store” will be selling handmade and organic accesories: scarves, jewelry, etc.

What’s so great about that?

They are all products handmade by survivors of Human Trafficking.

(Wow)

Also, all proceeds go to “Breaking Free” in Minneapolis.

I don’t know about everything, but the scarves seem to be around $15. Go buy a Christmas present and support this great cause!

Holiday Parties = a new dress

I’m sticking with Forever 21 for examples for some GREAT and trendy holiday dresses.

Personally, I’m going to a cocktail party with a friend in a few weeks for Christmas, and need a dress that is both festive, fun and classy

Here are a few ideas!!

1. Both beautiful, classy, and original.

Cream with BOWS annnd sparkle

2. Just because chrismas is typically red & green EVERYWHERE…doesn’t mean that’s all you are aloud to wear. You can be festive and wear a different color at the same time. I believe it all depends on the fabric and texture.

3. I feel like there should be at least one red dress option And this one is fun, I think, because it reminds me of something either Marilyn Monroe (RIP) or Madonna (hate to use her as an example) would wear. Sexy but classic at the same time!

Winter is here! Thanksgiving is over and the Christmas music is blasting

Plus, as of today, there is snow on the ground.

this big loop of fabric, at $28, claims to be a versatile do-it-all accessory.

American Apparel suggest that you can use it also as a headdress, shawl,or a DRESS (in 3 different ways). I feel like this is a big ambitous…but Maybe not. Maybe you are just getting more for youre money.

this scarf as earned 4 1/2 stars on their site & comes in a VERY wide variety of colors.

Look for yourself! And decide for yourself! Is this trend ridiculous, or genius?

I love a guy who can rock a nice winter scarf.

Wool. Cotton. or maybe even CASHMERE if he’s classy enough.

Stay away from the crochet, that’s my only advice.

Look in the store windows, guys. It’s time to invest in a peacoat and match it with a scarf with the weather starts to get chilly!

Military Style Jackets

I feel like this military look can give a normally preppy girl like myself a badass edge.

All we get as Winona residents is a little thing called “The Winona Mall”….I put that statement in quotes because literally the only stores (that i can remember) that exist in that mall is a tanning salon, a Hallmark, and a Vanity.

ET VOILA!

Vanity is having a fashion show!

This is probably going to be the most exciting thing to come to the Winona mall since it opened….

November 21st!

And lately…those ads on the side of every page has suggested to me a place called ModCloth.

Now, those things are supposed to be checking out your Fbook and profiling you into a certain target market. In other words: they are supposed to only be showing you ads that would interest YOU.

Also, I’ve seen the brand mentioned in a few friends’ statuses….
